Happy Holidays from Fired Upp Fitness

Writer's picture: Natalie UppNatalie Upp

It’s hard to believe that Christmas break started last week, and the big day is Sunday! I don’t know about you, but the Upp’s are excited for it to get here! I love watching our daughters faces as they open their gifts.

Our family just celebrated our first round of Christmas with a visit from my sister-in-law and one year-old niece who came in from San Francisco. My girls and I got to experience her first meeting with Santa at Crown Center, here in KC. As many children are at their first go around with the man in the big red suit, she was terrified, but her cousins did their best to console her through the trauma. We had lots of laughs, and it’s definitely a fun memory we’ll treasure.

Aside from snowy weather and trying to stay warm by the fire, this time of year is so much about reflection, celebrating holiday traditions and spending time with family and friends. My wish for you is to cherish these days, be grateful for the blessings you have, and be kind to yourself.

As you’re bustling around town (or maybe the country) to celebrate, take whatever time you can this week to pause, rest, and just enjoy the happiness and festive fun.

Because, next week…you guessed it! We get back to work. We’re planning and setting goals for 2017.

In honor of the holidays, I am keeping this newsletter short. I leave you with a little motivation to get you through the week.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.

They must be felt with the heart."

– Helen Keller

Happy holiday hugs to you,

Nat
